The Tek Spike format is the brainchild of Integrallis Software and ThirstyHead. As the main sponsors we have joined forces to bring you a fresh approach to training. Our goal is to also partner with talent local to a spike and to involve the local User Groups as much as possible.

We are a small but mighty group of dedicated Java™ and Ruby technologists specializing in agile, lightweight development. With locations in Arizona and Ohio we have built a core of specialists, authors and trainers unrivaled in the industry. Integrallis has been building Java applications and teaching others for the last 10 years. Having been there from the beginning we know what works and what doesn't. ThirstyHead

ThirstyHead is a Groovy and Grails consultancy founded by two recognized leaders in the technology. Scott Davis is the author of Groovy Recipes: Greasing the Wheels of Java, and two ongoing article series for IBM developerWorks: Mastering Grails and in 2009, Practically Groovy). Andrew Glover began writing about Groovy in 2004 with the IBM developerWorks article series Practically Groovy. He is the founder of the easyb Behavior-Driven Development (BDD) framework, and is the co-author of numerous books including Continuous Integration, Groovy in Action, and Java Testing Patterns. He is a prolific writer for multiple online publications including IBM developerWorks, O'Reilly ONJava and ONLamp, and JavaWorld . He actively blogs about software at thediscoblog.com.
